Background: solid color works best.
- Subject should stand 2 feet away from the
background with his/her body at a 35-45o angle but face
looking at the camera. This should eliminate the shadow
behind the person’s head.
- Photo field should be wide. Take photo from
mid-chest level up. We will frame the subject so all
picture sizes look consistent. Leave space above the
person’s head.
- Glare on glasses may often be taken out by moving the
camera up or down to decrease reflection. We can also take
out the glare on the computer.
- Use flash and photographer should stand
approximately 6-8 feet away from the subject. Soften
light in room (close blinds, etc to cut down on reflected
light).
- Take 3-4 pictures (more if necessary) to get a natural
look. Usually smiles are preferable to frowns.
- We will touch up red eye, fly away hair, blemishes,
whiten teeth, etc. if noted on the order.
When you e-mail the pictures, please include name (first
and last) and picture number in the letter part of the
e-mail (if you don’t rename the photo).
